Monday, May 23 - Vocabulary quiz on Thursday, May 26 on Night vocabulary words. No class on Wednesday so make sure that you remember to study.
HW Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - in class you'll be working on three assignments. All are due in the beginning of class on Friday. You will have ample class time to complete them so if you work hard during class you shouldn't have homework.
Monday, May 16 - Finish second body paragraph of essay.
Tuesday, May 17 - Finish writing conclusion of essay. Wednesday, May 18 - Final copy of essay due in class tomorrow. Read it out loud to edit. Have your essay printed before you come to class.
Thursday, May 19 - Complete Night Questions for parts 7, 8, 9. You will have more time to complete your poem in class tomorrow.
Friday, May 20 - If you do not finish editing poem in Google Classroom assignment, finish it for HW. Due on Monday by 8:00 am.
Monday, 5/9 - Finish reading Part 4 of Night and complete comprehension questions.
Tuesday, 5/10 - Type or hand write on a piece of lined paper: five sentences in the passive voice. After each sentence leave space for a peer to rewrite the sentence in the active voice. This must be legible. If you have a hard time writing clearly enough for others to read, then you should type this.
Wednesday, 5/11 - Read in Night the first part of Chapter 5. Stop at "All day, I plodded around like a sleepwalker." - page 75 in big version of book, page 72 in small version of book. You should answer questions 1, 2 and 3 on comprehension question worksheet.
Thursday, 5/12 - Finish reading Part 6 of Night. After you read, write at least 5 and no more than 7 comprehension questions about the chapter. Follow the model of the comprehension questions that you have been given for previous parts. The questions should be in the order that the reader will find the answers, and should be clear. At least two questions should incorporate specific quotations in the question, not answer. You may ask for quotations in the answers, as well. Questions should be typed and printed before class.
Friday, May 13 - You should have the introduction and at least half (at least one quote sandwich) of your first body paragraph of your literary analysis essay completed for class on Monday.
Monday, 5/2 -Book club form due tomorrow. Anne Frank group - questions due tomorrow. Essay test on book club book tomorrow. You may use your book and your notes on the essay question prep worksheet from Friday. You may not use any other sources.
Tuesday, 5/3 -Complete assignment on Google Classroom - "Milgram Experiment Questions". Turn in on Google Classroom. You do not need to print a copy. Study for vocabulary quiz on Thursday - on the words you selected from your book club books.
Wednesday, 5/4 -Finish reading Part 1 of Night and answer questions 1-7 on Night Comprehension questions sheet. Study for vocabulary quiz on your book club words. Quiz tomorrow.
Thursday, 5/5 - Finish what you did not finish in class today - for tomorrow you should have read to the end of Part 2 in Night and completed all of the questions for Parts 1 and 2. You should have completed the reflection questions about our guest speaker yesterday and turned in those questions on Google classroom.
Friday, 5/6 - If you did not finish reading Part 3 of Night and answering comprehension questions for Part 3, please finish for HW. Typed copy of Thank You note due on Monday if you want to send one.
Thursday, 4-28 - Revised sonnet is due tomorrow. Please print before you come to class. Revised Dog essays are due by Thursday, 5-5. Please follow revision directions on weebly. Book club books and final book club form must be completed for Tuesday, 5/3.
